Lilly Hartley is an award-winning film producer, creative personality, model, and the founder of Candescent Films, a production and impact-driven film company championing storytellers whose work elevates social awareness through powerful, character-driven narratives.

Before transitioning behind the camera, Lilly trained as an actress at The William Esper Studio and worked professionally on stage and screen. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and the Producers Guild of America, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Hamptons International Film Festival.

A natural storyteller with a multidisciplinary background, Lilly’s path began in East Hampton. She attended Deerfield Academy on both academic and athletic scholarships for tennis and volleyball, later receiving the prestigious Ashley Award for alumni making a global impact. She went on to attend Stony Brook University on an academic scholarship, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

In recent years, Lilly has expanded her creative work into fashion, serving as a muse and model for thoughtfully curated and sustainability-focused brands including Gabriela Hearst, Outerknown, Hoalen, Marina Moscone, AYR, GAP, Maison de Mode,  and Cuup. Named to Marie Claire’s New Guard: 50 Most Connected Women in America, she continues to bridge film, storytelling, style, and social consciousness.

Based in New York City and deeply connected to her East Hampton roots, Lilly is now shaping a new chapter through The Lillian Hartley Company—developing creative media and personal storytelling projects, including her upcoming venture Lilly and Her Sister, while continuing to elevate voices, empower women, and champion meaningful, culturally resonant narratives.
